Context
Echuca Regional Health is a public hospital that provides a comprehensive range of medical services and includes a residential aged care service. It serves a community of approximately 44,000 people and is the largest employer in the region.

The brief
The brief was to develop a one-day workshop for Board and executive staff to assist in the integration of the work of the senior executive staff with the requirements of the board so as to better assist in strategic decision making.
The approach
Key documentation from Echuca Regional Health was analysed for governance and strategy processes and to identify key areas where further enhancements could be delivered from both board and senior executive. A workshop program was developed with key resource material to provide examples, templates, and support material to assist the Board’s executive staff.
Results
Powerful discussions and exploration of techniques and ideas were facilitated to enhance the board and senior executive integration of board reporting, board and staff discussions, with a real focus on strategic outcomes.
